‘Green Administration Workshop’ was organised by Disha Foundation, Forest Department Amravati & Unique Academy. Deputy Conservator of Forests, Amravati Hemantkumar Meena (IFS) guided the students.

In this workshop, students observed birds and butterflies under the guidance of wildlife Conservationist Yadav Tarte Patil in Wadali Range of Pohra Malkhed Reserve Forest. A total of 17 Trees, 27 species of birds, 13 species of butterfly & 7 Species of Spiders were seen. We also focused on Biodiversity and their importance, the role of biodiversity in the balance of nature, the lifestyle of butterflies and spiders i.e. Round Officer Mr. Saiyad Salim gave information about bamboo, its importance and India’s First bamboo garden. Some competitions were also held during this time. In the face painting competition, the students drew pictures of tigers, leopard and pandas respectively. In the collage competition, replicas of peacocks, butterflies etc. were made. In this camp 42 U.P.S.C./M.P.S.C. aspirants had participated.
The purpose of the camp was to create awareness about wildlife and environment, conservation of biodiversity and conservation of the environment while working in the Indian Administrative Service & various civil services. At this time, the director of Unique Academy Prof. Amol Patil also provided guidance. Mr.Amitabh Ogale of Disha Foundation had given his contribution & Bhushan Chonde, Sagar Patil of Unique Academy & Forest department staff worked hard to make the workshop a success.
